Space Station ownership is a unique feature inside the Space Misfits Universe. Players who own a Space Station Token will unlock the ability to take ownership over an entire Space Station and profit from the marketplace along with the other services that the Space Station provides. Only the players who own a Space Station Ownership NFT will have the ability to own a Space Station.
Revenue is generated from the Space Station from the following services:
- Marketplace broker fees and taxes - Forge manufacturing fees - Hanger services (Refuel and repair) - Cargo storage fees
All revenue is paid in BITS to the station owner.
Phase 1 Rollout
Space Station Ownership holders will have the opportunity in the near future to claim their space station in an upcoming event. In order to claim their station they will have to pay a certain amount of BITS to purchase to license and own the station. This license fee will vary depending on the space station and its security zones in the universe. This will give the holder the option to either claim their first space station. Upon claiming their space station they will immediately begin receiving fees from that Space Station.
Requirements to Maintain Ownership
Space Station Ownership is not a passive feature in the game. You must maintain your space station. All Space Station owners must pay to repair the space station, pay taxes to the Orion Misfit Foundation, pay contractor salaries, manage job boards and control the logistics that supply the space station.
